The opposite of Deja Vu.
A sense of encountering something unkown despite being in a familiar place or with intimate friends; it is a form of forgetfulness often found in goldfish or octopi, but also in humans.
One is often overcome by a sense of Jamais Vu when one returns home after long and life-changing travels. One can feel Jamais Vu towards a place, an object, a situation, or a loved one.
Notes:
~Not to be mistaken for Nostalgia Vu (a sense of longing for something that never was).
